We all know the final times of Mike Webster. We are all sad he was living out of his car refusing help.

The list grows everyday of players having similar times because of head injuries.

I hope Sid comes to understand that nine months with no clearance to play is serious beyond chance and hangs up his playing days.

Who among us would coax their own kid for money or any reason to take the chance of major brain functioning problems after this kind of head trauma?

Jersey Joe:

It's hard to disagree with anything you wrote. Having had a stroke at 42 three years ago, I can appreciate the symptoms that Sid has endured. The headaches, the tough times, etc. It's really an individual decision for Sid and for that reason I kind of feel like whatever he decides is fine with me. He's already done it all in the hockey world at age 24. He must really like his job.

Have a great day -- John
