GIANTS-PIRATES RAINED OUT
METS LOSE - BUCS NOW IN 1ST PLACE
Tuesday, June 13, 1972

PITTSBURGH - The Pirates moved into 1st place without playing a game.
The Pirates' game with the Giants was rained out and will be made up Thursday as Game 1 of a double header.

Meanwhile, the Braves edged the Mets 6-5 due to Hank Aaron's HR in the bottom of the 9th off Danny Frizella. The Mets' loss moves the Pirates into 1st place, a half game ahead of NY. It was Aaron's 11th HR and 25th RBI of the year.
Tuesday's scheduled starters, Sam McDowell (6-4) and Dock Ellis (5-2) will pitch Wednesday.

Roberto Clemente is now batting .324 with 4 HR and 26 RBIs. He needs 60 hits to reach 3,000.

In memory of Mr. Les Banos.
