The Steelers 2012 Draft Class is being met with great fan fare. And so it should, every draft is about promise and potentail and the Steelers record in the draft is excellent.

Mewelde Moore's time in Pittsburgh it ended just as it started. Under the radar and to little fanfare. But if Moore's primary role was the Steelers was that of an understudy, his contribution should not be understated.

Kordell Stewart's decision to "retire" as a Pittsburgh Steeler after so long mystified many in Steelers Nation.

Many in Steelers Nation are pouncing on Mike Florio's mis-characterization and out-of-context critiques of Mike Tomlin's recent induction speech to the William and Mary Hall of Fame.

This past week the Steelers quickly ended the speculation about their offensive line that began during the NFL draft.  Willie Colon will move to guard and Marcus Gilbert will stay at right tackle.

The moves offers both promise and peril for the Steelers offensive line

On the one hand, it gives the Steelers a chance to get their best 5 lineman on the field from the get go. On the flip side, it involves taking a significant risk with Ben Roethlisberger's blind side.

No inner Mel Kipper Jr. to channel here or nor analysis of collegiate prospects.
Just a strict assessment of draft priorities based on what the Steelers need, which isn't to say that the Steelers should draft based on need.

Every wonder why the Steelers of the 1990's were perennial brides maids while the '00 Steelers were brides multiple times over?

The Steelers might have only won 13-9, but as this position-by-position breakdown of their victory over the Browns reveals, they finished the season strong.
