The Steelers 2012 Draft Class is being met with great fan fare. And so it should, every draft is about promise and potentail and the Steelers record in the draft is excellent.

Mewelde Moore's time in Pittsburgh it ended just as it started. Under the radar and to little fanfare. But if Moore's primary role was the Steelers was that of an understudy, his contribution should not be understated.

This past week the Steelers quickly ended the speculation about their offensive line that began during the NFL draft. Willie Colon will move to guard and Marcus Gilbert will stay at right tackle.
The moves offers both promise and peril for the Steelers offensive line.
On the one hand, it gives the Steelers a chance to get their best 5 lineman on the field from the get go. On the flip side, it involves taking a significant risk with Ben Roethlisberger's blind side.

Christmas came early to the South Side. Not only did top talent fall to the Steelers in the first round, but it happened again in the second and later in the fifth.

No inner Mel Kipper Jr. to channel here or nor analysis of collegiate prospects.
Just a strict assessment of draft priorities based on what the Steelers need, which isn't to say that the Steelers should draft based on need.
