What is nice about this forum is the differing of thought patterns presented. This leaves me with a problem.

Toadsly reminds me there are two things you never get over, your Mother giving away your Tonka trucks and your cat in the hat books.

Hey Toadsly, of course they had no photo of you but it was funny seeing that trimmer kit right inside the door after you did yourself in.

I was a cub scout as a kid. I never made it to boy scouts because way back then our troop leader told us we had to be on time for the meetings even if that meant not going to baseball. When that rule became the law of the troop, the troop became much smaller very quickly.

Guys, Ok, this tune was about as far down that road as we might venture growing up
I think the significant lie would be the one to get into the army. My dad taught the truth at all cost. He had two buddy's who acquired girlfriends while still living with their wives, neither ever entered our house again.
In your scenario, once we became good buddy's I would expect the truth. I would remind you to live the truth. I would remind you the army is not a job.
You would know your secret is intact. You would also know of my expectations. Your truth would be on you.
For a private reason I once had a pal who needed tough love, we did not speak for two years until he knocked on my door and thanked me just two weeks before he died, praise the Lord.
My class had 26 students in it. 30 years after graduation a friend revealed to me that he was gay. He did so asking me to keep it between the two of us and I did with always talking of revealing the truth.
In a couple of years he thanked me and asked me to tell everyone for him and I did just a few months before he passed away.
In your scenario you would see how lies build your soul in a downward motion.
You would come to realize I believe that putting your mate into a position of being alone could have and subsequently would have brought the truth out if you were seriously wanting to be a good person and acted accordingly.
Sorry it took me so long long to reply but I hope you understand I took your request seriously.
